12 October 2016 -- Singapore --Talisman Telecom is proud to announce an Asia-wide series of executive workshops entitled "The Role of Business Intermediaries in an Era of Digital Disruption".
These half-day workshops will be conducted by invitation-only and will focus on the challenging environment of business intermediaries. All workshops will be led by Mr Ananda Rao the Founder & Chief Executive of Talisman Telecom and a well-respected commentator on the impact and opportunities that digital disruption offers businesses across Asia.
Business Intermediaries can be defined as businesses that put buyers and sellers together without taking ownership of the product, service or property. Business Intermediaries are a unique business category. They are not wholesalers, distributors, or resellers but add value to both the buying and the selling parties.In more recent times both Uber and Airbnb can be categorised as disruptive business intermediaries who add value to commercial transactions between buyers and sellers by utilising innovative internet technology.

These are just two examples of relatively new global businesses who add value to commercial transactions between buyers and sellers by utilising innovative internet technology. Just about every industry is being impacted by these changes in some way whether it be newspapers, travel agents, or broadcasters. Directory services such as Yellow Pages, traditionally a highly profitable business, have been hit particularly hard by this disruption.
This private workshop will develop strategies and programs for any specific business intermediary that is being impacted by these rapid changes, whatever their business.
Each workshop will be conducted under a non-disclosure agreement and will be customised to address the specific challenges facing that particular business. The workshop will comprise five unique self-contained far-ranging topics and will identify methods and tools that may be readily deployed to provide compelling and valued content and services to both consumers and small-medium businesses related to that particular business intermediary.
